Stay at Home Challenge - week 5

My dear Creative friend,

How are you all in these trying and stressfull times? Do you manage to paint? Our lockdown was supposed to end next Thursday, the 16th of April but I am sure it will be extended till the 3rd of May! I have decided that this weeks challenge (nr. 5) is the last one. I really enjoyed working on these challenges but now I am focussing on filming my new Portrait Class (be sure to be on my email list to get the info!) and working on my Sisterhood collection. Time goes fast, even in confinement! Keep sending me pictures of your paintings though, I love to see them!

Here is a new picture that can serve as colour inspiration! I tried to find a picture that brings a little warmth and summer into your homes, I love it when the lavender is in bloom!

For those who would like a subject to paint, this beautiful landscape makes me long for summer!

Subject Picture - week V (by Leonard Cotte)

For this weeks challenge I am going to use Permanent Mauve, Cadmium Yellow Deep Hue, Chromium Oxide green, Yellow Ocre, Titanium White, Ivory Black and Titanium Buff. I might throw in a bit of pan pastel or senneliers oil pastels too!

Let’s use the hashtag #stayathomecreativechallenge to regroup all our paintings on Instagram, or if you are not on IG, post them in my Cold Wax Creative Community on Facebook (even if they are not in Cold wax!!)
http://www.facebook.com/groups/coldwaxcreativecommunity

If you are not on FB nor on IG, send me the paintings by email, marinatvb@outlook.com and I will post them in my stories for you with your name.

If you are painting in cold wax and oil, check out the FREE PDF, I made with all my favourite art materials:

Thank you so much for participating, take care and stay healthy!

xox,

Marina

PS. I turned the painting of these flowers into a free class which you can check out below!
